WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber results – Aldo, Henderson legitimize their championship reigns

By Phil Landis The UFC’s sister promotion, WEC, made its first foray into the world of pay-per-view last night. “WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber” emanated live from Arco Arena in Sacramento, and featured local favorite “The California Kid” getting a crack at Jose Aldo’s featherweight belt. WEC traditionally draws well at Arco, and this event was no different. The event drew 14,144 fans for a gate of $1 million, according to UFC/WEC president Dana White. This makes WEC 48 the most attended show in their history, ahead of WEC 41 in June of last year, which featured a rematch Mike Thomas Brown and Faber and drew 13,027 fans.
