All main card fighters made weight without incident for Strikeforce’s “Fedor vs. Werdum” event, which takes place tomorrow at the HP Pavilion in San Jose. Main event fighters Fedor Emelianenko and Fabricio Werdum came in well under the 265 lb. limit. The heavily-favored women’s champion, Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos, who has previously struggled to make the 145 lb. limit, was a half-pound under the limit. Her underdog opponent, Jan Finney, easily made weight.
Undercard fighter Derrick Burnsed barely missed the 155 lb. limit for his bout, and was given time to drop the extra weight, which he did. All fights are now official, and the action begins at 5 PM tomorrow. Examiner.com will be on the scene reporting live.
