FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Westlake Village, CA. – November 22, 2010 – EA SportsTM, known worldwide for their industry-leading sports simulation video games, recently released their highly anticipated mixed martial arts game, EA SPORTS MMA. The EA SportsTM team worked very closely with Industry experts in order to produce the “most authentic, intense, and broadest” mixed martial arts game on the market. MMA Legend Bas Rutten plays a very significant role in the game. He is a featured fighter, trainer, and the official host of EA SPORTS MMA. His gym, Elite MMA, is also featured in the game.
According to Bas Rutten, “I am the official host of EA SPORTS MMA. I welcome the players to the game and introduce them to the sport. I tell them where mixed martial arts originated from and educate them on the different disciplines. I’m also featured as a fighter and a trainer in the game. Players can be “Bas Rutten” in the game or they can train with me.”
Bas also spoke very highly of EA SportsTM and the game itself, “Working with EA SportsTM has been a great experience. I’m very excited to be such a big part of this game. The EA SportsTM team really did their research. Every aspect of the game was very well thought out. Everyone I’ve talked to that has played EA SPORTS MMA is very impressed with it.”
According to fight fans and game critics, the games career mode is what really sets it apart from other MMA video games on the market. In career mode, players can visit gyms in Japan, Brazil, Thailand and the United States to learn new skills and techniques from some of the world’s most well-known trainers. As a player acquires new skills they become stronger and progress through the ranks to compete against league champions on a global level.
Rutten stated, “The learning mode or “career mode” of the game definitely sets it apart from the others, because it allows you to improve as a fighter. You have the ability to train with experts at top MMA training facilities all over the world. I also like the fact that the training is based on real life scenarios. Once you choose the technique that you want to work on, you do actual drills to improve your skill level. You can even prepare for your virtual bouts by sparring with fighters that have a fight style similar to your opponents. It’s amazing, some of the things you can do in this game.”
Ruttten concluded with, “If you’re a fighter, a fan, or just looking for a great game to play, check out EA SPORTS MMA. I personally recommend it! Christmas is coming up and EA SPORTS MMA is a great gift for MMA fans. God speed and party on!”
EA SPORTS MMA delivers a very authentic MMA gaming experience, from the graphics and game play, to the vast array of world class fighters, training locations, and fight leagues. It is the only game that allows gamers to go beyond the cage, travel the globe, and experience different fighting environments and rule sets. Players can also extend their gaming experience and compete against others in front of an on-line audience through a first of its kinds feature – EA Sports Live Broadcast. EA Sports has also partnered with Sherdog.com to offer a unique online fighting initiative called the Sherdog MMA Fighter Exchange, a program that mirrors EA SPORTS MMA’s career mode.
