Glendale, AZ. – December 2, 2010 – The MMA LAB, a premier mixed martial arts training facility in Glendale, Arizona, will begin their official countdown to WEC 53 on December 1st with “Fifteen Days of Smooth Ben Henderson.” This exciting contest will give MMA fans the opportunity to win exciting prizes and learn more about WEC Lightweight Champion “Smooth” Ben Henderson.
During the “Fifteen Days of Smooth Ben” contest, fans have a chance to win an autographed picture of Benson Henderson, a Smooth T-shirt, or a free MMA LAB Membership. Prizes will be given away daily from December 1st through December 15th, 2010. Each day a new trivia question about Smooth Ben Henderson will be posted on The MMA Lab’s Website, Facebook, and Twitter. Every fan that calls The MMA LAB and answers the question correctly will be entered into a daily drawing. Winners will be notified of their prize the following day.
According to Jason Beck, owner of The MMA Lab, “Everyone at The MMA LAB is very excited about the WEC coming to Phoenix in December. It gives Benson the opportunity to defend his title in his home state. Ben’s friends, family, training partners, coaches, and hometown fans have the opportunity to come out and watch Ben fight.”

Not only will WEC 53 be the first World Extreme Cagefighting event ever held in Arizona, it will also go down in MMA history as the very last event held by the WEC. As the winner of the main event raises his hand in victory and the show comes to a close, the WEC and UFC will become one. It is a very exciting time for the organization, its fighters, and for MMA fans. The WEC plans to make its exit from the MMA world a memorable one.
