In a shocking announcement, last night at UFC 126, Joe Rogan announced that Jon “Bones” Jones winner of his match with Ryan Bader will get a shot at UFC Lightheavy weight Champ “Shogun” Rua at UFC 130 in NJ. These developments happened rather fast as Rashod Evans dropped out of the match due to injury. Even Shogun, looked a little shocked by the announcement. But the real question is Jon, ready for the challange he looked really nervous and tried to shake off pre fight jetters during the walk out in his match with Bader.
Can such a young fighter at 23 years old and talent raise to the challenge to fight and beat I champion like Shogun who has beat everyone from Chuck Liddell to Allister Overeem? Only time will tell.
