Marquee MMA Fighters and BAMMA Announcer Shadd Dales Participate in this Year’s World Famous Bullrun Rally
Toronto, Canada – July 14, 2011 – MMA and fast cars collide as 2011 Bullrun contenders head from Las Vegas to Miami! Shadd Dales, the official voice of Europe’s leading MMA promotion (BAMMA) and A-list fighters Anthony Pettis, Miguel Torres, and Josh Barnett are all taking part in this year’s Bullrun Rally. 2011 Bullrunner’s have just seven days to travel from Nevada to Miami armed with only a map and the desire to claim top honors and Bullrun bragging rights. The 2011 Bullrun Rally kicked off Friday, July 8 at the official start line on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada and will end on Friday, July 15 in Miami, Florida.

This year’s rally started in true Bullrun style with celebrity guest Amber Rose as the official flag girl. MMA fighters Anthony Pettis, Miguel Torres, and Josh Barnett will all participate in different legs of the Bullrun Rally as members of the Toyo Tires team. Other celebrities participating in this year’s Bullrun Rally include NASCAR driver Robby Gordon, Ice T and Coco, rapper and home improvement personality Vanilla Ice, and Finnish reality stars The Dudeson’s.
Shadd Dales, known throughout the MMA industry as the official ring announcer for the British Association of mixed martial arts (BAMMA), was strategically chosen as the official Emcee for the star studded kickoff event for this year’s rally. Dales’ distinct and powerful voice is known across multiple industries and has earned him a reputation as one of the most sought after event announcers in the nation.
Dales had this to say about being chosen as the event’s official Emcee, “It was truly an honor to Emcee this year’s World Famous Bullrun Rally in Sin City. It’s a top-notch event in every sense of the word, from the entertainment and celebrities in attendance, to the Bullrun Rally teams that travel from all over the world to participate. The week-long event is intense, rally drivers cover 3,000 miles and eight cities in just seven days!”
During the kickoff event patrons took in live music performances and a skate boarding demonstrations by the DTA skate crew that included jumping over the matte black Bullrun Shelby GT. Fans also had the opportunity to meet the drivers, take photos, and check out notable rides such as the pre-production 2012 Jeep SRT-8 driven by NASCAR and Dakar rally driver, Robby Gordon and Rob Ferretti’s very rare Ford Mustang Cobra R.
Dales went on to say, “Thousands of rally fans lined Fremont Street to welcome the drivers and get a closer look at the high end cars…Lamborghini’s, Ferrari’s, Maserati’s, you name it! The highlight of the event for me was definitely introducing the Bullrun Rally teams to the crowd. It was the first time in the events history that they had an official Bullrun Rally Emcee and I am thrilled that I was able to do the honors.”
Bullrun Rally participant’s start each day not knowing where they will be heading next, such is the allure of the Bullrun. At the beginning of each day, the contenders are handed route cards that contain the much anticipated route details. The event is fueled by an impressive schedule of events that will remain top secret until each leg begins, finally leading them to their final destination. As with every year, the 2011 rally drivers will be the stars of the original Bullrun television show; “Cops, Cars and Superstars”. The show is in its 8th season and currently airs in over 96 countries around the world!
