Project’s Inaugural Card Set for Saturday, August 6 as a Special Attraction
at the International Festival of Bikers
New York, NY. (August 3, 2011) Uniting bikers from Russian regions and abroad, the International Festival of Ol’gino Bikers is the largest motorcycle event in Russia’s North-West region. With Europe’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion growing increasing popular with two-wheel transportation enthusiasts, M-1 Global launches its Russian MMA ‘proving ground’ scouting project ‘M-1 Fighter’ on Saturday, August 6 as one of the exhibit’s special attractions.
The ‘M-1 Fighter’ project brings together young and promising athletes that have undergone a rigorous submission review and selection process and the bouts will be announced shortly.
“M-1 organizes mixed martial arts tournaments around the world. Our most recognized projects include the international M-1 Challenge events and regional M-1 Selection tournaments. This year we’re launching a new project in Russia called ‘M-1 Fighter’ where we get an opportunity to scout many young athletes eager to break into this great sport,” says Alexander Shuldyakov, M-1 Global’s European matchmaker. “Consider it a ‘proving ground’. We’re very pleased that the first ‘M-1 Fighter’ event will take place as an attraction at the international festival of bikers.”
Fans wishing to watch the action live, the M-1 Fighter Tournament will be streamed live at 6am ET on August 6th in association with Geniroom. You will need to register for a free account which will give you access to all the live action as it takes place. Click for more information.
