The IFS will return to action on September 18th at the Industry Hills Expo Center, City of Industry. IFS 9 “Clash of Kings” is expected to feature a few pro Muay Thai bouts, however, none have been officially announced. Muay Thai Authority has confirmed with sources close to the situation that Sheldon Gaines will be taking on Dillon Croushorn.
Gaines who trains out Muay Thai America Gymnasium in North Hollywood, CA recently competed at Stand Up Promotions “Oblonsky vs. Krause” event in July. He defeated Saekson Janjira fighter Borzoo Honargohar via unanimous decision in his best performance as a pro. Gaines showed vast improvement in his conditioning and it paid dividends for him in the end.
Croushorn fights out of Tapout Training Center in Los Angeles, CA and has recently focused on MMA. It will be interesting to see how he transitions from focusing on MMA to focusing on Muay Thai.
