ESPN Secures the Rights for XFC INTERNATIONAL 1
There will be nine fights on Saturday night

São Paulo, February 2014 – Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) will be on WatchESPN screens this Saturday (Feb. 8), with XFCi 1 – Brazil. The company has acquired the broadcast rights, with the deal covering fights in Brazil and Latin America in Spanish. This marks the premier of the Live Events of  Xtreme Fighting Championships in the country, with a total of nine fights on Saturday night, involving Brazilian and Latin American athletes.

Edward Jung, CEO of XFC International commented: “I’m delighted to announce this agreement with ESPN Brazil and ESPN Latin America. They underline our commitment to develop our business in Latin America and to introduce new audiences to our wealth of talented MMA fighters from Latin America.”

“MMA has been established as one of Brazilians’ favorite sports. Aware of this trend, we are getting a great event for our sports schedule after years,” says Carlos Maluf, director of acquisitions at ESPN in Brazil.

 The night’s most eagerly anticipated fight will be the headlining event between the American Clay French (19-6)  and the Brazilian Thiago Minu (18-5). The main card transmission begins at 9:30pm EST/12:30 AM BRST and runs until 11:30pm EST/2:30 AM BRST.
