Vasquez v Nascimento

On Saturday, March 29th, XFC International goes right back to work; providing high level mixed martial arts to the rabid fans in Latin America, and across the globe on Rede TV. On a card already stacked with exciting tournament bouts and a high-profile Main Event, the XFC found a way to sweeten the deal by adding a 2nd “Super Fight” to the card. Chilean Matias Vasquez and Brazilian Allan Nascimento will go head to head as XFCi 3’s Co-Main Event of the evening.

Coming off a loss in his last fight of 2013, Chile’s Matias Vasquez (10-3) is hungry to get back into the win column; a place he’s been 10 out of his 13 professional fights. Seen as one of his country’s hottest prospects, Vasquez is used to traveling to see the level of competition he knows it will take to catapult his career to the next level. A win against Nascimento in Sao Paulo will unquestionably gain Matias the wide-spread recognition he desires. With 6 submissions and 1 Ko under his belt, Vasquez is a proven finisher. However, the fight within the fight on March 29th, will be to figure out a way to stop a man that nobody has been able to stop.

Sao Paulo, Brazil’s Allan Nascimento (11-2) is on the brink of stardom by anyone’s standards. At just 22 years old, Nascimento’s mind-blowing stats are what jump out the most when you look at this kid on paper. 14 professional fights, 11 wins, 10 submissions and 1 Ko for a finish rate of 100%, never been stopped in a fight, all at high level competition…a ridiculous  resume for a fighter still in the infancy of his career. When you add the fact that he recently took UFC star Will Campuzano to a judge’s decision, it’s easy to see why a lot of eyes will be on Allan Nascimento this Saturday night.

XFC International Matchmaker Eduardo Duarte shared his thoughts on his highly anticipated Co-Main Event: “This is one of my favorite fights on the card. Both these guys are highly accomplished grapplers, on the edge of stardom, and they both know and respect that about each other. So, I see these guys possibly nullifying each other’s ground attack and deciding to stand and test each other’s striking. I think it could really turn into a slugfest. What I know for sure is, it’s going to be an entertaining, fan friendly fight. Vasquez doesn’t lose at 135 pounds and Nascimento finishes fights. I won’t be surprised at all if this bout steals the show.”
