LIVE on SPIKE TV on Friday, February 6 at 9/8c
New York, NY – GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league, today announced the date and location for GLORY 19, set to air live on SPIKE TV at 9/8c from Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia on Friday, February 6.
GLORY Heavyweight World Champion Rico Verhoeven (44-9-0, 10 KOs) headlines GLORY 19, defending his title against bitter rival and hard hitting veteran Errol “The Bonecrusher” Zimmerman (103-11-1, 44 KOs) in the rubber match of a trilogy that dates back to January of 2012.
Zimmerman, who has ended three of his last four fights via knockout, won their first tilt by stopping Verhoeven in the first round. The next time they met, at GLORY 9: NEW YORK in June of 2013, Verhoeven took home the decision victory to even up the series.
The match-up serves as Verhoeven’s first title defense since winning the vacant GLORY Heavyweight World Championship in June by defeating top contender Daniel Ghita.
Additional bouts for GLORY 19, including the participants in GLORY’s one-night, four-man Welterweight Contender Tournament, will be announced at a later date.
Tickets for GLORY 19 will be available for purchase online at ticketmaster.com starting on Christmas Eve, December 24.
