Yeti
- As far back as I can
remember there’s been a
connection between music
and sports. For me it was
wrestling. For example back
in the Attitude era of WWE
you would hear the breaking
glass and know that Stone
Cold was coming and it
was about to get rowdy and
you’d just get so pumped.
Being involved with Rockta-
gon and having your tracks
used for both the World Se-
ries of Fighting and the NHL
Playoffs, how important do
you think the connection is?
Dan Gutter
- I think mu-
sic can enhance almost any
experience a hundredfold.
I feel like every event in life
focuses on only one of the
five senses and you’ll notice
that when someone is blown
away by an event, all of
their senses were assaulted.
Combat sports is no differ-
ent. They don’t just watch
the event they’re absorbed
by it. They feel the energy
of the crowd, they hear the
music that sets the tone, and
they’re acutely aware that
they are witnessing a magical
moment. Then their favorite
fighter or team gets ready to
come out of the tunnel, the
lights dim, the music starts
and the senses of everyone
in the crowd are electrified.
Yeti
- We’ve talked about
the past and present of
Drenalin. What can we ex-
pect to see from you guys in
the future?
Dan Gutter
- Next spring
we’ll be touring on the album
we plan to release, Ignite
Chapter 2. We’ve also got
another track that should be
on television within the next
couple months. Also, we’ve
been in contact with a few
other awards and there are
some we plan on submitting
songs to but I don’t want to
name them just yet. Once
you get that first big award
you crave it, so we’re going
for it.
Ever since we’ve teamed up
with Rocktagon it feels like
a new energy is surrounding
the band and its supporters.
Partnering with Rocktagon
could be considered a buck-
et list milestone for us but
instead of sitting back and
enjoying the ride, it makes
us even more driven to work
harder to top this high we’ve
worked nearly a decade to
achieve.
Yeti
- Well, we’ve come
to the end here and I don’t
want to take any more of
your time but I want to open
up the floor for you to say
whatever you want.
Dan Gutter
- We’ve got-
ten extreme amounts of love
from our fans and we have
to credit them as the num-
ber one contributor to our
success hands down. And let
me tell you why.
There you have it folks! If
you haven’t heard of these
guys until now I’m urging
you to go look up their Face-
book page check out some
of their tunes.
Drenalin will be hosting
their Emmy Award party
at MOCA, The Museum of
Contemporary Art Cleveland
on April 29th. This red car-
pet event is invite only, so if
you are a lucky ticket holder,
come celebrate with Dren-
alin and their friends I Am
Precise, and Justin Schoen-
rock!
