“XFCi 14 will be the ‘touch of
gloves’ of a highly anticipated
season that holds great news
and is expected to be a mile-
stone to us”, the XFC president
Myron Molotky states. “It’s not
only about promoting events,
but to reinforce our commit-
ment to Brazil and to our fight-
ers, to give them the tools and
a clear path to develop their
careers. Today we can say that
XFC covers all the stages of a
fighter’s life: Young Guns, In-
ternational Tournament, Su-
per fight Series and the World
Championships”.
Molotky also affirms that the
quality of the roster is some-
thing to keep an eye on this
year: “We’re very glad to hear
and to see that some of our
fighters are listed as top pros-
pects worldwide, and as a pro-
motion we are very excited for
what the future holds to us.
Matchmaker Eduardo Duarte
and XFC Technical Consultant
Marcelo Brigadeiro have done a
masterful job securing the big-
gest names in Brazilian MMA
for 2016...XFC will announce
these signings in the upcoming
weeks”, he concludes.
A year of achievements
and champions
The year of 2015 was a very
special year to XFC. Five of a
total of six events were held
inside the XFC International
Center, a five-floor building
containing an official hexa-
gon, Olympic mat, boxing ring,
sauna, offices, restaurant and
a mezzanine where fans can
entertain theirselves and enjoy
a good time during and after
the fights. The athletes were
crowned world champions –
Bruno Azevedo, Poliana Botel-
ho and Viviane Pereira – as well
as six won the tournament
series, stablishing themselves
as a title contender. Some of
the most important specialized
media outlets listed XFC repre-
sentatives as top prospects to
be watched.
Outside the hexagon, more
achievements during last year.
A deal with Prospere Institute
provided to all the Brazilian
fighters full scholarships to take
part on Technical and Profes-
sionalizing online, on demand
courses. Another big step was
the partnership with Esporte In-
terativo, a fast-rising TV sports
channel member of the Turner
Group, which already broad-
casted the last three events as
well as a weekly show exclusive
for XFC. Terra, one of the main
portals in Latin America, has
taken the hexagon emotions
to US and Mexico.
“The last two XFC events
reached almost six million
people through Esporte In-
terativo”, XFC CEO Edward
Jung reveals. “We have a big
projection of growth for XFC
in 2016, new places to be ex-
plored and a lot of benefits to
the fans, athletes and every-
one involved in the XFC family.
We are truly excited for what
comes ahead”.
