does require that you’re in the
moment and committed to it.
That’s what we try to do every
time we make a new album,
and that’s what we do when
we hit the stage. That’s what
it’s all about; committing to the
audience and the material and
leaving it all up there. That’s
one thing about seeing Eve To
Adam live, it’s an adrenaline
packed show and at the end of
the show there is no doubt that
we gave it up, we never hold
anything back. We want every-
one to get their money’s worth
and for us it has always been a
form of therapy. Live shows for
me are supposed to be a little
unpredictable, a live wire surg-
ing with electricity and pulsing.
It’s alive, it’s a beast. That’s the
formula we’ve always went
with and have gotten better at
it over time. By “getting better
at it” I mean just kind of being
able to release yourself to the
storm so to speak. That’s really
the reason that we have been
pushing for so long to make
this band grow and evolve to
the next level and pushing the
boundaries of what we do.
Playing live has always been
the payoff for us. We love to
perform. There’s nothing like
the adrenaline rush of playing
for an audience that is there to
hear material that they love and
songs that they’re invested in.
Yeti:
Speaking of putting to-
gether new material… When
can we look for a new album
from Eve To Adam?
Taki:
Our next album is actu-
ally already recorded and ready
to go; we’re pushing for a re-
lease this fall. We were able to
do another album with the pro-
ducer who worked with us on
our album Locked and Loaded,
Elvis Baskette. He’s a superstar
producer, an amazing talent,
and a very, very cool guy. He
makes the atmosphere very
relaxed so that you’re able to
deliver your best performances
and material. We were so glad
to get back into the studio with
him. The upcoming album is a
little less polished than before.
It’s a little more stripped down
production-wise. It’s very well-
produced but it still has some
grit.
Yeti:
So this new app that
going around, Talk2Legends,
what’s up with that and how
are you liking it?
Taki:
It’s awesome. It’s another
avenue for fans and artists to
connect. When I was grow-
ing up and would be revering
certain bands we didn’t have
any of these opportunities.
You were lucky to pick up a
Hit Parader or Rolling Stone
or whatever and catch a story
on your favorite band. It didn’t
matter who you were into
back then there as a really big
boundary line between fans
and artists. So this app is taking
advantage of the technological
world that we live in and giv-
ing people direct access to the
people who are inspiring them.
I’m happy to be a part of it. Not
only does it give the fans direct
access it is also a great promo-
tional tool. I really believe in the
people who are behind it and I
was honored to be asked to be
involved.
Yeti:
That’s something I’ve
been talking about for a while
now. The connection between
fans and artists is just so huge.
It’s crazy that I can hop on Twit-
ter and personally tell someone
that they put on a killer show
and not have to fight to the
front of a crowd of people ya
know. Kids today will never un-
derstand the struggle of having
to go buy magazines just for
that one article you wanted to
read.
Taki:
You said it right there!
They will never know the world
that was before. It was a whole
other place. There were walls
and there were things that
you were never going to do.
You were never going to meet
James Hetfield or Axl Rose or
whoever you were really in-
spired by. Now it seems like
you’re right outside their door.
Through different social me-
dia and apps like Talk2Legends
people who used to be a uni-
verse away are now like right
there. It’s a whole different
planet we’re on now.
Yeti:
So along with doing the
Talk2Legends app, you guys are
also doing a lot with Rockta-
gon Worldwide Music. What’s
that like?
Taki:
It’s been super positive.
It’s honestly been a real plea-
sure. They’re really hardwork-
ing guys over there; a really
great team of people. They re-
ally believe in the artists, they
