believe in their work ethic, and
they do what they say they’re
going to do. Its super refresh-
ing to be working in alliance
with a company like Rocktagon
because especially in the mu-
sic business it’s saturated with
people who talk a big game
but rarely deliver. Whether
its promoters or managers or
whatever, you can go down
the line and there’s a clown
for every facet in this business
and what’s really refreshing
about Rocktagon is that they
mean business. If you’re lucky
enough to get their attention
and you’re good enough to
make it to the next level, they
are the people who can take
you there and they do it the
right way. It’s hard work and
execution; strategy and execu-
tion. It’s basically the blueprint
for life so to have somebody
that we can work with and
partner with on Eve To Adam
stuff and getting our music out
beyond just the United States is
amazing. That’s another key as-
set that they bring to the table,
the promotional ability and the
ability to get music out world-
wide. I can’t say enough good
things about Rocktagon, espe-
cially Joe Simmons and James
Jeda, those guys. It’s very re-
freshing, as an artist, to work
with people who do what they
say they’re going to do. In the
music industry it’s so hard to
find people who want to do
anything for you and when
you do they’re usually the scum
of the earth so working with
these guys is very refreshing.
If I would have had these guys
a decade ago there’s no telling
where I would be now.
Yeti:
So this is the last ques-
tion, and it’s kind of a tradition
for me I’m just going to open
up the floor so to speak and let
you say whatever. I don’t care
what it is, it could be a recipe
for potato salad, whatever
man, it’s all you.
Taki:
Whatever I want to say
huh? I guess what I would re-
ally have to say is a huge thank
you from the band to our fans.
The last year has been extreme-
ly difficult. After the success
of Locked and Loaded, there
were some very serious times
concerning our previous label
and management and a situa-
tion that no one could have re-
ally foreseen. Alex and I had to
step back and get really serious
about survival because we had
a lot of things happen in the
band that pretty much threat-
ened its survival. If it wasn’t for
the fans and their belief in the
music and the connection we
have with the fans ya know…
they were the inspiration for
Alex and I to continue and es-
sentially rebuild the band and
create this new album and to
be here talking to you about
releasing this new album, and
Lucky is out. My last manager
told me he owned me and that
I would never ever release an-
other thing in music again if it
didn’t go through him. To go
from such a negative situation
of such disrespect and almost
slavery to win your freedom
and be able to persevere and
release new music and have
Lucky released on Sirius Oc-
tane. All of that was inspired by
the fans. They’re the ones that
kept Alex and I from quitting.
I want to say a huge thank you
to them because without them
we wouldn’t be here right now.
We love you, thank you so
much for being there this past
year and if not for your belief
in us, we may not be standing
here.
It’s such an amazingly over-
whelming feeling to see how
many people we’ve touched
with this music. Once it leaves
your hands it’s not yours any-
more and the ownership that
people have shown for songs
like Immortal, Straitjacket
Supermodel, and Run Your
Mouth and some others that
we’ve released over the past
seven or so years, to see that
impact is amazing. It’s amaz-
ing how music connects us all,
and it makes me so happy to
be part of this. No matter how
hard the struggle is to push
boundaries as an artist it really
pays off. I’m just so grateful
to have endured all the things
we’ve been through and to still
be standing here looking on to
a new horizon.
So, you’re still reading this
instead of heading to You-
Tube to check out some
tunes huh? I truly appreciate
that and all, but that should
totally be next on your to-
do list. You could also fol-
low them on Facebook, In-
stagram, and Twitter, I do.
That’s probably the best way
to keep an eye out for new
singles or news about that
new album. Whatever you
do, crank the tunes while
you’re doing it and enjoy
the ride.
